At a time when many of you are finishing university and beginning to start exciting new careers, Vita Student wants to give one of our current and former residents an opportunity to begin their journey into the working world with us. September sees the launch of Vita Student’s new Marketing Graduate Development Programme.

You’ve lived with us. You’ve been to the events in the Hub. You spent a year or more living in one of our buildings. So it’s obvious that you’re undoubtedly best placed to work out what we can keep doing to making things even better.

That’s why we’ve created this exciting graduate role in our busy marketing department.

The role

Our Marketing Graduate Development Programme starts on September 12th. Initially a 12-month opportunity (with the possibility to extend), you will be based at Vita Student’s head office in Alderley Edge on the outskirts of Manchester.

You will be working within the brand’s vibrant, hard-working and fun-loving team as Marketing Assistant. You will gain experience across a number of core areas of Vita Student’s marketing world, from customer experience marketing to global marketing strategies.

Most of your learning and development, roughly 70%, will come from on-the-job experience, with 20% via feedback and relationships, and the rest from formal training provided each month.

In addition, some of your other responsibilities will range from co-ordinating termly student focus groups, to updating and monitoring our social media channels.

Who we’re looking for

The person we’re looking to recruit must possess the following skills. If you meet them all, then we want to hear from you right away!

• Someone who has lived at any Vita Student residence for at least one year
• A passion for marketing
• Excellent written and spoken English language skills, with good grammar and an understanding of basic copy skills
• Highly organised, creative and with exceptional communication skills
• Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate multiple agreed deadlines, responding quickly, clearly and accurately under pressure
• Quick learner who works well under his or her own initiative
