After weeks of voting and speculation, the numbers have been counted and the alumni decided! From a long list of 10 alumni for both Glasgow and Newcastle, students from across the cities have picked who they'd like to see grace the walls of Vita Student. Thank you to everyone who voted - here are your #InTheFrame Winners...

Vita Student Glasgow... Peter Capaldi!

Peter Capaldi is a writer, director and actor, best known for being the 12th and current Doctor Who.

He has received four British Academy Television Award nominations, winning Best Male Comedy Performance in 2010. As a director, he won the 1995 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film as well as the British Academy Film Award for Best Short Film the year before for his short film Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life.

 

Vita Student Newcastle... Martin Luther King!

Martin Luther King was an American Baptist minister and activist who was a leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He received the Nobel Peace Prize for combating racial inequality through nonviolent resistance.

The Northumbria and Newcastle Universities Martin Luther King Peace Committee exists to honour King's legacy, as represented by his final visit to the UK to receive an honorary degree from Newcastle University in 1967.
