There are plenty of things to do in York all throughout the year. A city with thousands of years of history, York has more attractions per square mile than any other city in the UK. One of the best things to do in York is to go on a guided tour, where you can unfold the city’s story with a group of friends. At night, you can ever go on a ghost tour to uncover the spookier side of York. York also has lots of pubs, restaurants and shops to discover – go to the Shambles and visit one of the oldest shopping destinations in Britain, or visit the a more modern spot at Coppergate Shopping Centre.

Whatever you’re craving, you’ll find it in York. One of the best places for food and drink in York is Shambles Market. Here you’ll find street vendors from all cuisines and affordable food that is packed with flavour. However if you’re in York, you need to spend some time inside its cosy pubs. Start at Eagle and Child to get some good beers and an even better British Sunday roast.
