Any person who will turn 18 within the year they live with us and is a student enrolled with an educational institution can live with Vita Student at any of our developments across the UK.
Yes, as long as you are still registered as a student and your placement is part of your degree/course then you can still live with Vita Student.
Booking your studio is easy! The booking process is four simple steps and takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
You will need to find your location first and then select the room you want to book.
Our four step booking process is easy. Simply:
To secure your accommodation, you’ll need to pay a 2 Weeks Advanced License Fee at the point of booking. This fee covers you for your first two weeks stay with us and is deducted from the total amount due. The license fee amount differs depending on the price of the room you pick, and this will be shown at the point of booking.
22/23 Academic Year
Unless you have booked a Clearing Room (see special cancellation terms for Clearing Rooms below) you can cancel free of charge:
If you have made a booking for next year, you are part of the Vita Student community from Day 1.
That means you can access our open hub spaces, open study spaces and gym from 10am-6pm every day even before you move in with us.
All you need to do is report to reception and sign in to collect your visitors fob. Fobs are only live for 8 hours and will be required to be given back at the end of each visit.
Unfortunately you won’t be able to use our private bookable spaces as these are booked through the Vita Student app which you will only have access to once you are living within the building.
It is possible to transfer your booking and Advance License Fee over to another building but you will need to go through the booking process again to select your accommodation in the new building. Our team will be more than happy to have a conversation with you about the process to make it as easy as possible. Please be aware that an administration charge may be applicable.
Subject to availability, we will try to arrange for you to swap rooms / change rooms into a different room where possible.
Please check the website for availability and let us know the room / building you would like to swap to.
Please note, there will be a £50 administration fee and the room you choose must be of the same or higher value to your current booking.
Please contact the Customer Engagement Team if you would like to arrange a room / building swap on firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you choose to pay by instalments and are reliant on a student loan, you are still responsible for making the payments on time according to the payment schedule within the signed contract.
We have some studios available with shorter contracts in our residences across the UK. Perfect if you are only studying for a term at a time or on a language course that lasts a few months.
To find out more, please contact the team on +44(0)203 096 1717 and we will try to find something suitable for you.
Talk to us! We will always work with you to find the best way for you to make your payment. It may be possible to change instalment plans or change your licence agreement to adapt to your requirements. Please contact the Customer Engagement Team on email@example.com for more information. Please state your booking reference (VITA REF) and details of the issues you’re experiencing on the email.
For all 22/23 academic year booking you have two different options when deciding how to pay your license fee:
For all 21/22 academic year bookings, payment is now required in advance in full within 48-hours of making the booking.
Unfortunately, you are committed under the license period to pay the full license fee. We may have a waiting list of people that would like to take over your booking which would then relinquish you from your contract. We cannot refund your license fee until a replacement is found to take over your booking.
To cancel your booking, please contact the Customer Engagement Team on firstname.lastname@example.org. Please state your booking reference (VITA REF) on the email. Please ask your replacement student to contact us and state your booking reference (VITA REF).
In most cases - yes! This is dependent on whether the room you have booked is available and will be subject to an additional cost. To check availability and arrange an early move in please contact the Customer Engagement Team on email@example.com
We are very flexible with viewings and have dedicated days available to view our buildings and/or show apartments. If you would like to view the room and communal space at Vita Student, request your appointment time:
We love having couples live in our accommodation and it’s ideal if you want to share the license fee with someone else. There is a 20% price increase to cover the additional usage of electricity and water, internet and wear and tear to the accommodation and communal spaces. The Advance License Fee remains the same for two people sharing a room.
If you are staying in a "cluster" room in our London Lewisham Exchange residence, these are single occupancy only and dual occupancy is not available.
Please contact the Customer Engagement Team on firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to add an additional occupant to your booking. Please state your booking reference (VITA REF), the additional occupant’s name and the date the additional occupant would like to move in and out on the email.
Not at all! All our self-contained studios have an ensuite bathroom and kitchen area within the apartment. There is a communal student area outside of your studio that has individual and group study spaces, pool tables, gym facility and relaxation and social ‘zones’ for you to enjoy whenever you need a break from university work!
We make every effort to ensure that our accommodation is accessible for all and we will always do everything we can to find you suitable accommodation.
All Vita Student buildings have step-free/level access. We can provide information on the availability of disabled parking for customers, there are accessible WC’s in the communal areas for visitors and a hearing loop at reception.
Adaptations can be made to our studios including grabrail provision in bathrooms, stair lifts in accessible duplex apartments, visual fire alarms and assisted door opening devices if required.
If you have any specific accessibility requirements, please contact the us on +44(0)203 096 1717 or drop us an email at email@example.com.
Information can also be made available in alternative formats e.g. large print and braille.
All utility bills (gas, water and electricity), super-fast Wi-Fi and contents insurance for your belongings are included. Your fortnightly cleaning service and grab and go breakfast every weekday is also included in your license fee.
You are responsible for the purchase of a TV license if you intend to watch or record live terrestrial TV programmes or use BBC iPlayer, even if you have been provided with a TV by Vita Student. If you do not wish to purchase a TV license you will need to complete a TV license exemption form which will be available from your Vita Student accommodation team.

You are responsible for the purchase of a TV license if you intend to watch or record live terrestrial TV programmes or use BBC iPlayer, even if you have been provided with a TV by Vita Student (excluding our buildings in Spain). In most of our buildings, all windows open, with the exception of a few room types in some buildings.
Our sales team will be able to help you with any queries you have about specific rooms.
All our buildings offer a superfast Wi-Fi connection which allows you to stay connected wherever you are in the building; in your studio, around the Residence or in the hub space.
You will also have your own individual private & secure personal wireless network. Unlike services at other providers, not only can you connect each of your devices to the internet but you can also enable 10 personal SMART devices to discover and connect to each other. This means that you can share content between your SMART devices in a private and secure way just like you would in a traditional home setting and you can do it safe in the knowledge that nobody else in the building can connect to them.
All our buildings offer a superfast Wi-Fi connection but from September 2022 we’re upgrading our internet speeds to:
You can log all maintenance issues from the comfort of your own room using the Vita Student APP! Simply log a ticket, add a picture if you wish and the onsite Facilities Manager will respond as soon as possible. You can also come downstairs and speak to your residence team who will be happy to help.
One of the best things about living with Vita Student is the amazing communal space that is open for all residents to enjoy. There is incredibly comfortable seating, pool tables, cinema areas and private study spaces that are all perfect for you to enjoy on your own or in groups.
We also hold regular events in the communal space hosted by the residence teams. If you have a suggestion, let us know and we’ll make it happen!
A fortnightly clean of your studio is part of the service at Vita Student! Our brilliant housekeeping team will provide a 20 minute clean of your floor, kitchen worktop surfaces and en-suite to keep things clean for you. We do this to ensure your room is kept in the very best condition throughout the year and to minimise the damage. However, they will not tidy your belongings or wash your dishes to respect your privacy.
If you would like to book in additional deep cleans, please speak to a member of the management team who can discuss the options with you and book in an additional clean at a time to suit you.
The housekeeping team will also clean all communal areas but are not responsible for throwing away your rubbish, so please be mindful and respect the building.
Due to Covid 19, housekeeping bookings must be made online in advance using our simple booking system. An email will be sent to you when your housekeeper is due to visit so please keep an eye out for your email prompt. This is to ensure the safety of both staff and students before we enter your room to carry out a clean.
Yes, except for your breakfast every weekday! A Grab and Go breakfast is available Monday to Friday in the reception area so make sure you take advantage of the free coffee, muffins, pastries, and/or fresh fruit available only at Vita Student. Each day the menu is different which gives you a great variety of options to give you the perfect start to your day!
Only your belongings are covered by the insurance policy, so to ensure that all belongings are insured we would advise that you do not act as your friend’s storage facility.
We do allow guests to stay overnight for up to two consecutive nights but they will need to sign in with the residence team at reception and cannot have their own key fob. Any guests must be with you at all times and cannot be left alone in your room – this is due to only you as the resident being fully aware of our health and safety processes and policies.
Please contact the Customer Engagement Team on firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to add an additional occupant to your booking. Please state your booking reference (VITA REF), the additional occupants’ name and the date the additional occupant would like to move in and out on the email.
