Before your first day in the building, there are a few things you need to have sorted. This blog is going to give you all the information you need to move into your Vita Student accommodation and give you a sneak peek of all the exciting things to expect during your 25/26 stay.

For Vita Students moving into a UK building this year, we have a blog to help you out.

Four simple steps to move into Vita Student

A four-step progress bar for Vita Student Barcelona’s student accommodation highlights each stage: 1. Pay Now (in pink), 2. Moving Preparation, 3. Final Checklist, and 4. Arrive (in light gray).

It’s the summer before you go to university, so you sure as hell want to enjoy it. You should be spending more time with your friends and family, and less time stressing about preparations.

That’s why we have broken down the process of moving to Vita Student into four simple steps. You’ll need to complete all of these to ensure you’re set for 25/26.

Firstly, you will need to complete your payment via your Vita Student account, using our secure payment portal TransferMate.

If you’ve chosen a monthly payment plan, the process is different. Our team will contact you directly to give you all the details and help you complete your payment.

MOVE-IN PREPARATIONS

Once you have paid, you can then check-in online. It’s really easy to do. Just log into your account at vitastudent.com, and follow the steps to check-in.

Step 1: Let us know when you plan to arrive by selecting your move-in week

Step 2: Confirm your specific move-in day

Step 3: Complete your online check-in form

Even if you’ve already lived at Vita Student previously, you will still need to check in online for 2025/26.

If you lived with us for 24/25, and there is a gap between your 2 bookings, you will still need to book your move-in appointment to let us know when you will be returning. If there is no gap between your contracts, your “move-in date” will be automatically set as the first day of your contract, but you still need to complete your online check-in form.

next, it’s time for your final checklist

Now we have everything we need, it’s up to you to make your final preparations.

Wondering what you need to pack?

When you move into Vita Student in Spain, bedding and bathroom towels are included. You’ll get two towels (bath and hand towel), bed sheets, a duvet, duvet covers, two pillows and pillowcases. Better yet, it will all be waiting in your room when you arrive.

Kitchen utensils like saucepans, plates and cutlery aren’t included in your room. If you want to bring your own, there is plenty of storage space available. If you need to travel light, you can order any items online before you arrive, and collect them from our secure parcel room when you get here.

Can I bring my car?

All our buildings in Spain are in fantastic locations, close to university with great public transport links. However, we do have a limited number of motorcycle and accessible parking spaces available.

Contact your Customer Engagement Team if you want to secure a space.

Join The Pipe

At Vita Student Pedralbes, we’re a part of the Join The Pipe sustainability initiative.

Like the founders of the initiative, we want to see less plastic waste in our oceans. So, outside of our building, you’ll find a tap where both residents and the public can fill up their water bottles.

A red emergency call post labeled "VITA" stands on a sidewalk next to a tennis court, with Vita Student Barcelona’s modern glass and green building in the background, ready for students preparing to move in, and trees visible around.

The water from the tap is purified, and better yet, free to use for everybody. Only together can we cut out single-use plastic and save our seas, so join the pipe with us.
