A large, diverse group of young adults, future Vita Student alumni, poses and smiles outdoors in front of a red and yellow carnival tent. Some hold drinks or balloons, celebrating lifelong friends with city buildings in the background.

Every year, thousands of students walk through the doors of Vita Student buildings across the UK and Spain. They arrive from different parts of the world, carrying dreams, ambitions, and a hint of nervous excitement.

But what many don’t expect is how quickly Vita begins to feel like home, a place where lasting friendships are formed, and where connections continue to grow through Alumni Reunions, Student Circus and more.

A group of twelve young adults, possibly lifelong friends, are seated around a dining table filled with food in a modern restaurant with checkered flooring and framed art, smiling and posing for the Vita Student Alumni Archives.

At Vita Student, we’ve always believed that university life is more than lectures and deadlines; it’s about the people you meet along the way. For many of our residents, the friendships they made here have lasted long after graduation.

Whether it’s late-night study sessions, shared breakfasts, or bumping into familiar faces at events, the Vita experience has a way of turning neighbours into lifelong friends.

Where Friendships Begin

Every Vita Student building is designed to bring people together. From weekly social events and cooking classes to coffee catch-ups in the Hub, there’s always something happening that helps residents connect naturally.

Former resident Manish Shaw recalls,

“All the rooms in my building were studios, so it didn’t feel like I was isolated for a minute, thanks to the array of events spread across the week. I got to socialise in a non-academic setting, which led to my introduction to new hobbies and sports, such as bouldering.”

Manish also joined Vita’s Ambassador Programme, which helped him build professional skills while strengthening connections across the community.

“The programme helped me grow in marketing as I worked closely with Vita HQ to plan, develop and materialise content for their Instagram page,” he adds.

Connections Beyond Graduation

The sense of belonging doesn’t end when residents move out. The Vita Student network keeps friendships and opportunities alive, bringing together students from across the world through exclusive events like the Leavers Party.

Olivia Tan, who lived in Edinburgh’s Fountainbridge between 2021–2023, shares,

“Vita Student is not just about events, it’s about networking, career development and a unique lifestyle. It’s wonderful to meet so many like-minded people and share experiences.”

David Zhang from Leeds adds,

“Being part of the Vita Student Alumni makes me feel like I’m still part of the community even after graduation. As an alumnus, you could still make life-long friendships here.”

Staying Connected

Whether it’s reconnecting at alumni events or discovering new opportunities, Vita’s alumni community continues to thrive.

A group of people socialize in a modern, well-lit Vita Student space with large windows. Some are standing and chatting, while others hold drinks. The atmosphere is casual and lively, perfect for making lifelong friends amid contemporary decor.

Emma Li, who lived in Manchester, says,

“Joining the Vita Student Alumni was such a great decision! The events are always fun and it’s amazing to catch up with old friends while networking with alumni from all over the UK.”

And for James Wong from London, staying connected has been effortless: “The workshops and social events make it easy to stay in touch with people who share similar experiences.”

Home Away From Home

What makes these friendships possible is the sense of comfort and community Vita creates. Our residents often describe Vita Student as more than accommodation, it’s a lifestyle built around people.

Ardnav Shrivastav, who lived in Belfast, puts it perfectly,

“Vita doesn’t feel like typical student housing. The spaces are modern, the vibe is vibrant, and it’s built in a way that makes everyday living easy, whether you want to be social or just enjoy your own space. Once you’re here, everywhere else just feels second class.”

Arth Jain, another resident from the same building, says,

“Vita made it so easy to meet people and feel supported. Even the smallest issues were handled immediately, and the all-inclusive service really takes the stress out of student life.”

And for Sophia Chen, it’s the ongoing connection that matters most,

“The alumni events are always well-organised and engaging. I loved the career forum—it gave me so many new insights and contacts.”

Friendships That Last a Lifetime

From first-year move-ins to alumni reunions, Vita Student has always been about creating spaces where people feel at home and where friendships last far beyond their time at university. The Vita Student Alumni Network continues to grow, keeping our residents connected no matter where life takes them.

Because once you’re part of Vita Student, you’re part of something that stays with you for life.
